    I am a nursing student in college, and this book had more biochemistry than even I am used to. It certainly is a scientific diet, because you have to be a scientist to figure it out. Personally, I could not stay on track. You have to calculate a lot of things, including your daily intake of calories, how many you’ll burn, how many you need to burn from your fat, how many protein, carb, and fat calories you need.

    From a diet that claims to be simple, this had my head spinning. You had to eat the exact amount of protein/carb/fat calories at a predetermined caloric intake level, or else it wouldn’t work.

    Since I’m not too into weighing out my food, it got a little confusing when I made a sandwich at home for dinner! Not everything I eat is processed and has a nutrition facts table.

    All in all, there’s good science in here, but it reads worse than my text books. It’s entirely too complicated for the casual dieter. It’s the same common sense we’ve all heard about losing weight. It does have a few interesting articles about testosterone, but don’t count on the hormone to save your health.
