Would You Support Canceling Foreign Aid To Pay For Universal Health Care?

Instead of raising taxes on Americans to pay for health care, how about if we cancel ALL foreign aid for 2 years? After all, what business do we have spending a HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS A YEAR on the welfare of other countries when people right here in our own country have no medical insurance? Shouldn’t we put AMERICA first?

    In a heartbeat. Foreign Aid does little, globally, other than help to bolster corrupt regimes that are at the heart of their nation’s problems. Especially in Africa. However, I would invest the money in paying off current debt before even considering something stupid like UHC.

    Universal healthcare will regulate care and limit doctor visits and insurance portability (as if).
    Just end the aid, and expand Medicare to the truly needy.

    I agree with part of what you say. I never understood why we give money to our enemies.
    But paying for another Government Program. No way. No matter how good it seems to be at the beginning.
