There is not. A Health Care Crisis makes it sound as if we dont have enough hospitals/clinics for people to go to. That we have people dropping dead in the streets left and right because we dont have enough doctors or our doctors are not well equipped or trained. The problem is a insurance crisis and the cost of medical care-not health care crisis.
I have heard people from outside of the states with the misconception that if you are in America and you get hit while crossing a street-if you have no medical insurance they leave you laying there to die. Thats not true-regardless if you can pay or not non-profit hospitals MUST treat you. They can not turn you away during a medical emergency. It is the law.
Unlike in Japan where they have “Universal Health Care”. This man gets in a car wreck-is turned away by 14 different hospitals and ends up dying in a ambulance because none would take him.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/02/04…

The Health Care Crisis is actually a Insurance/Litigation/Protectionism Issue.
Insurance crises because of the failure to pay claims in a timely manner, failure to document the actual coverage ALLOWED and failure of the billing department to correctly bill the insurance and correctly answer the patients inquiries.
Litigation crises because the civil court (money controlled) system provides NO logical limits on lawsuits. Damages allowed by the system is covered by the doctors insurance, which in turn charges more to the consumer. So when a Doctor or hospital get a multimillion dollar penalty, YOU the Consumer ACTUALLY pay the bill….
Protectionism Crises….Well maybe not so much a ‘crises’ as a Crime….Too much medical equipment is really just pieces of plastic that have the Medial ‘Seal of Approval’ as legislated by the good old boys system in congress. Too many drugs are being sold at too high a price because of an artificial ‘demand’ for the drugs. Too many articles are sold at 1000 times their value and are ‘limited’ to prescription only sales because some ‘inventor’ and investors decide they can make a killing on their idea…in the mean time low income INSURED people go without the devices because they can’t afford to buy the items AND keep up their insurance payment…
As far as the number of UNINSURED …many are self insured, or able to pay cash for treatment. Others chose NOT to purchase insurance because they don’t feel the need to pay someone when they are healthy….A LOT of the uninsured are illegal aliens, and a percentage are College students who SHOULD be covered by the Universitys and college, ESPECIALLY for the tuitions thay are now charging….

Wrong. People do die in the streets, people do get dropped on skid row, and people die in emergency rooms. I sat in an emergency room for 4 hrs, with chest pains, watching people come and go, finally went to another hospital. Then I got a bill for $58, for “services” “none”. Welcome to medicare. Bush housing or hobo jungles, are spreading, and we’re are losing our previously firm grip on 37th place.

you’re pretty much right….their is plenty of health care its just not readily available to everyone…unfortunately when i go to the doctor i’m paying out of pocket for my visit and medicine..i keep my fingers crossed that nothing serious happens to me anytime soon

because 47 million americans are without insurance
and Insurance companies car more about their bottom end than they do about providing adequate health care
Raise your premiums and pay out for fewer conditions = PROFIT

NO it is a health care crisis.Does it have to happen to you before you will believe it? It is the biggest lie that all who go to the hospital get treatment. They don’t, I watched a man die in the waiting room,he was having chest pains he waited three hours for a doctor to look at him they finally told him to go home,he got up and then he died right there.A 14 year old boy died from an infected toenail because he was refused treatment at the hospital emergency room.It happens somewhere everyday but people do not speak up they are afraid because they may be next.No one earns the right to be sick but any and all doctors take an oath to treat everyone who comes to them but they do not.Insurance in this country and hoa’s are the reason for this it is a disgrace.I am not sure this is the right way but truly it needs changing,no one should ever be turned away because they have no insurance.I just heard on the news 33,000 children in California will no longer have health care but the people still will not raise the taxes it is one of our riches states What happened? Does anyone really know? That too is a disgrace.
