There are many forms of socialized medical insurance in the world. Many allow free choice of physicans and most allow private practice to exist side by side. Presently, we have some 40 million people without insurance and many of these people take up valuable time and space at out emergency rooms. Many hospitals have gone bankrupt as a result of caring for these uninsured. The system is broken.

the issue is that in the USA, there is a VERY large “this is MINE” mentality”
it basicly boils down to no one wants to pay for someone elses stuff.
i live in the US and i dont feel like that tho. i have actually done my homework and i have realized that people would be paying less each month towards a national health care system than they currently pay to most insurance companies.
i have been to other countries that have nationalized health care systems. it WORKS. it really does. i have experienced it first hand, and i know several people who live in countries with national health care and they have ZERO issues with it. it WORKS
however, until america gets over it’s “this is MINE!” mentality, it will never work in the US
