Who Is The Man Considered To Be The Author Of The Canadian Health Care System?

I am doing a paper on the Canadian Health Care System and have forgotten this man’s name. He is most recently noted for publicly saying that the whole thing was a huge mistake and regrets his involvement in it. He has said that the private sector, even with all its problems is the only way to go. He also states that the public health program has created a scarcity of doctors, long wait times, health rationing, particularly among the elderly, and has severely damaged medical research and development.

    Thomas “Tommy” Clement Douglas.
    He supported it until the day he died.
    Which was in 1986 so he can’t be “recently noted” for saying anything.
    Wherever you got your information was flat out wrong. Or you’re simply talking BS in the hopes of getting a rise out of someone.
    Do real research and maybe you’ll learn something for a change.
