   sweetheart, all you have to do is relax. Nobody wants to show their privates to a stranger. Even if the stranger is a doctor. I’m 30 years old and I still don’t like getting that stuff done. There is no getting used to it. Bring a magazine or your ipod if you have one. Distract yourself. If you have a good doctor, she will talk you through it to distract you. Tell your doctor you are uncomfortable. It’s OK. They understand. And, there is nothing that they haven’t heard or seen before. Good luck hunny. You’re not alone!

   If there’s some problem associated with your private spot , you have to show that to your doctor. this is a normal thing . Why should you feel shamed of this or anything like this? How do you expect the doctor to diagnose your case properly without seeing any part of your body, however private it may be. I am a teacher in the university here. I always tell my students to reveal everything …weaknesses or any other to 1) a teacher 2) a lawyer and 3)a doctor. ……never hide anything from them , you stand to lose. It’s for your own good that you have to say all about your problem(s) to your doctor to help yourself….that’s it.

   It may be uncomfortable but its something every female has to do. Really its not a big deal, they do this for a living, so just imagine how many they have already seen, and how many patients have felt like you. I really don’t think anyone looks forward to it. Let your doctor know up front that it has been bothering you and ask for some advice to calm you down, its rather quick anyways and then your done! its just for your safety to make sure everything is ok.

   I know me either, it sucks that we have to..but were just going to have to suck it up, its for your own safety, so that they know nothing is wrong with you…after all better safe than sorry@
