I heard half the doctors are threatening to quit if govt takes over and forces out private insurance, since govt ran programs hardly ever pays the doctor bills. Also the Obama administration has included in their 1300 page health reform program that they will allow just about anyone good and bad grades to go to medical school- YIKES! What kind of doctors will we end up with? You know since democrats have all the control in Washington they will pass this insane bill that SEIU wrote! Who is SEIU? A bunch of retards or what?

    My dad is a doctor in Canada. He is a neurologist specializing in neurophysiology. Its a single payer system. He only bills OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan). He makes bank. I am studying in the United States paying out of state fees. He drives a BMW and my mom drives a Lexus. He has enough money saved for a very comfortable retirement. We live in a half a million dollar home. He is a member at two private golf clubs and travels quite frequently.

    You mean like Universal Health Care “destroyed” private insurance in Europe? Oh, wait…they have a thriving private insurance market.

    My husbands niece is starting Med school next month. Although she has wanted to be a doctor since her teens, she is now concerned that she will not be able to pay off 8 years of student loans. She is also concerned that she won’t be able to give her future patients the individual care that has been her dream.
