All of the above, plus the fact that major procedures and a plan of care is costly.

An interesting question after I have just viewed Michael Moore’s movie “Sicko.”
I have many friends who live over seas. I see them usually on average once or twice a year. Many if not all of them live in countries where there is national health care. I have never heard one complain about their health care system.
So I would have to say with some experience that:
The biggest harm caused by the government directed health care of other countries is that it makes all the residents of those countries think that our system is wasteful, insane and inhumane. I don’t know if they are right but it is a universal opinion by those living under the health care of other countries including Europe, Canada, and Central America. It is frankly a little embarrassing.
And it makes me think that even if we had a national health care system in the US we probably do not personally have what it takes to make it work here. After all T. Jefferson said that people usually get the government they deserve.
However, someone with perhaps a more synical point of view may offer the the biggest harm caused by goverment directed health care is that those in our armed services are efficiently kept healthy so that they may pose the threat to the rest of the world that they currently do. Does this mean that to be against Government directed health care is to be against our armed forces?

It is all very harmful but there are way to many people that do not have health care so they will take what they can get while jeopardizing the good health care I have and pay for. This seems so wrong to me.

G. Another layer of ever growing bureaucracy to pay for that is less efficient than any other method to get the same thing done.

The fact that we are continually denied the same great health care benefits the D.C. crowd receives.

All of the above. Just ask anyone from Canada who comes to the U.S. to get medical attention.

G. right-wingers crying like little girls when universal health care isn’t implemented in any way like talk radio says it will be.
BTW most of that we are experiencing with our current system.
