No effect whatsoever.
The VA, and all veteran benefits, are already done through a single-payer system.
By the way, “Universal Health Care” is not “socialized medicine.” It merely means everyone is covered.

people need to take care of themselves
teach themselves how to mend broken bones
and stay in peak condition to avoid minor ilnesses
we do people think living to 70 is not enough?!?

That’s a really good question.
I’d expect it to have no effect at first because no one would want to saddle the VA system with the exorbitant costs of the universal system.
Later, once universal care has been reduced to the VA system level, I would expect to see a phase out of VA specific hospitals and programs.

None what so ever. VA medical benefits (actually active duty benefits) would be the ideal system for all of America. When I was hurt in the Army, I went to the hospital and they fixed it.
That’s my whole story. No bills. No paperwork. Nothing. Just got fixed up. That’s how it should be.

No effect and would offer the same wonderful service as I and other vets get. The co-author of the bill for universal health care: http://www.dennis4president.com/home/
