It means you’ll be responsible for the co-pay amount like any other time you go to the doctor. Depending on your insurance & what they classify the procedure as, the co-pay could be as little as $10 or as much as $100. It would also be more if you’ve not met your deductable yet, if you have one. Call your insurance & find out how much they pay.

They will pay for their percentage of it if the abortion is medically necessary from paper work from your doctor meaning that their is something wrong with the fetus or that it is going to hurt your to carry it. You will probably have to pay for your percentage of it but if you are just wanting to have an abortion because you don’t want a baby the ins. will pay nothing.

i believe that a co-pay is what you pay upfront but that does not negate the possibility of you having to pay for anything else. Also, medial abortions are considered necessary based on health. Insurance will only cover an abortion if it is medically necessary to the mother.

A copay is whn the insurance company covers most of the amount and you have to pay a small fraction.
I am not sure that an insurance company would cover an abortion. Double check that.

Copay means that you have to pay a portion of the cost out of pocket. The exact amount depends on you health plan. Contact your health care provider for details.

Just to read it like that I’m interpreting that you have a set copay…Like when I go to the doc ALL I pay is $15.00 cause the doc has a contract with the insurance company.
Medical abortion isn’t the same as elective abortion, at least I don’t think so.
Like if the baby were not alive and keeping it inside the mother was potentially fatal for the mother, that to me is a medical abortion…..That’s my take.
Good luck to you,
D

I doubt that they will pay anything unless you have a “medical” reason for having an abortion, meaning something is wrong with the baby or it is life threatening for you to carry it.
Copay: means you pay part and the insurance company pays part. Usually they pay the bigger part.

That wording sounds like they will pay for a medically needed abortion. If there is something wrong with you/ the fetus they will cover it at your doctor copay probably.
