Those Against Universal Health Care In Usa, How Do You Pay For Your Medical Bills?

i’m just curious…
do you have insurance? medicaid? enough money to pay out of pocket & not bat an eye?
or do you not have medical bills at all *right now* so you don’t care?

    I’m not *against* universal health care, but I really cringe at the exorbitant amount of taxes needed to fund it, and the potential limitations to quality health care. I know it sounds really bad, and universal health care can be a wonderful thing, but if everyone has the same medical care available to them, physicians don’t have to strive so hard to be the best they can be.
    We are a part of a Regence Blue Shield small business plan through my husband’s company and have our monthly premium deducted from our pay check. If he were to lose his job or his insurance coverage through his work, we could get a similar plan for an additional $50/month or so directly from an agent.
    We do have our toddler on Medicaid right now, though, because he had surgery on his eyes last year and may need another surgery this year. I know this sounds like we’re taking advantage of the system, but we’re using medicaid to help pay for that.

    My husband is in the Army, so guess what, everyone? YOUR TAX DOLLARS PAY FOR MY HEALTHCARE! And millions of others, as well. I’m all for universal healthcare.
    If we had to pay premiums and copays out of my husband’s meager salary, we’d be in a world of hurt.

    I pay for my family’s insurance, as everyone should. Don’t ask ME to pay for YOUR insurance or anybody else’s!!!!

    If YOU wish to pay for others insurance, GO FOR IT!!!!!
