Many insurance companies will not offer “regular” health insurance coverage to people until they have been in the US a minimum amount of time (usually 1 yr or so).
Your parents will probably be best served by purchasing an international travel health insurance plan. These plans cover most major expenses although rarely cover pre-existing conditions.
Speak with an independent health insurance agent that is close to you and they should be able to point you in the right direction.
