The ex refuses to pay half of the ortho bill for my daughters braces even though i carry the insurance on her and he states that it’s not covered under medical so he won’t pay half of the uninsured part which states in the papers that he is supposed to pay.

It depends on the wording of the court order. However, dental and vision insurance is typically separate and apart from medical insurance since they are all separate policies.

As the previous posters state… if it ain’t specifically in the order as written, it doesn’t exist. You cannot interpret the order, only the judge that issued it can do so, or a higher court. So what you *think* it says, and what is actually says, can be two very different things.
When in doubt, file a motion to get him to pay. The judge will set it straight.

Only the judge can decide what the order means.
