I am wondering if any dick, tom, or harry can legally assist a doctor in surgery (private practice)
Also, who can legally push IV medications?

I believe in most jurisdictions, you need the proper licensing to do so (so usually nurse, doctor, PA, or surgical tech), or have to be in training at teaching facilities (generally medical and nursing students). Pushing IV medications is generally limited to paramedics (or EMT-I’s, depending on the state), nurses, PAs, and doctors (again, including students), or any of the other licensures that allow it (maybe like anesthesiology tech or something).
