To be honest Parkland is such a nasty hospital I would so much rather give birth at Baylor and I don’t think Parkland has birthing rooms since it is more prone to people with no insurance….

there is a link to their info…I couldn’t find anything on there about their birthing accommodations though…sorry :(
If you call them they should be able to give you all the info on that though.

If you have insurance yes they have private rooms. Generally if you don’t you are in a birth room with about five other women. A friend of mine didn’t have insurance and was stuck with the other people coming and going, she asked about private rooms and was told that they were on a first come first serve basis, but a nurse made the comment about insurance patients get get top bill.

Parkland has one of the highest number of births in the nation, in 2003 there were 16,000 babies born there. I believe that there are private rooms because on the website it says you can choose to have labor, delivery, and recovery all in the same room, and you can either keep your baby with you at all times or have the baby put in the nursery if you want. I had all three in the same room when I gave birth to my daughter.
