With all the debates on health care I was wondering if a single payer system is best for our country if it doesn’t work well in Canada?

Why is it never mentioned, that many, many Americans go abroad for treatment either too expensive here or not available at all.
Many cross our borders to obtain Medications too unaffordable here.
In no other other developed Country do People have to choose between
either buying food or having their Prescriptions filled.
Not only do we not practice preventive Medicine, many People cannot
afford necessary Medications to get well and their Health therefore is
often declining to a very sorry state.
Change is absolutely necessary.
I also resent the fact that some Phone Operator at an Insurance Company decides what is best for me. That is most scary.

According to Fox News all Canadians flock to the US for health care which is ridiculous.
I’m sure the only ones who do are the wealthy. Who else could afford to.
I do remember that every older person in the US was flocking to Canada for cheaper drugs.
Like every system there are problems with the Canadian system.
But the US can’t brag that they have the best system in the world until they can get rid of the corruption, fraud, and waste that makes theirs the most expensive system in the world.
