How Does Private Healthcare In The Uk Work? Can You Make A One-off Appointment, And How?

A friend of mine has been ill with arthrytic aches and pains for the last month at least. She was prescribed a cocktail of drugs, as a result of which she is unable to sleep and lost her appetite. She’s since been back to another doctor who took her off those drugs, but, a week later, she feels no better.
We wonder about getting private health care for her, but since she’s not insured by Bupa, we aren’t sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

Yes you can. Ask your doctor to recommend a good rheumatologist or look at the site below.http://www.privatehealth.co.uk/private-h…
You can always ring your local BUPA hospital and they will give information about local rheumatologists, the cost ets.http://www.privatehealth.co.uk/healthins…
