They sell over the counter creams if it is a yeast infection. However you should see the doctor several things can cause itching…bacterial infection, herpes etc.

If it’s just simply itchy, and no burning… try cleaning yourself more often with a mild soap.. you may be allergic or your skin (down there) may be a bit sensitive to the soap you are washing your body with… Use only dove bar soap… any other soap actually dries out your skin, and can irritate your private parts.. many body washes are filled with fragrance.. which is horrible for your private parts..
If it’s itching and burning, you may have a yeast infection. In this case, try monistat (the 3 day one).. After you try the monistat, and its still itching.. call your doctor and they will give you a presciption for diflucan. It’s a one day pill that eliminates a yeast infection.

The best way to prevent the spread of STDs is abstinence. If you are sexually active however, you can engage in safe sex practices to reduce the likelihood of contamination and the spread of disease.
Sexually transmitted diseases or STDs are a group of infections that can be caused by any type of sexual contact. Did you know that it is not necessary to have actual intercourse in order to spread an STD? Anyone that has ANY form of sex is at risk for contracting STDs, and that means you if you are sexually active.
