Im working but i don’t have medical insurance, i am doing my taxes every year and working legally. I am permanent resident and i need to have a surgery but i dont have the money for it, and i would like to know how can i get free medical insurance because some people are saying that i can be eligible for it because i work but i dont have money to get an insurance and pay for it by myself.

Some employers provide medical insurance as a benefit. You may have to pay a little out of each paycheck, but it’s nothing compared to footing the bill for a surgery! I suggest changing jobs to one that provides you this service. Just ask around and see what is offered.

Different states have different programs and different guidelines that you have to meet for help. Contact your local Department od Social Services, and go from there.
