Look joanne, you are a 13 y.o. girl. 1st & above all, learn to do as you are told. All of us girls have had full body checks by a male doctor when we were naked. Get used to taking off all your clothes for a man. It’s just part of your maturing process ! Certainly the doctor will be checking your private areas for health reasons. He may have to feel your breasts for irregularities. It’s his job so try to relax. You need to learn that a man is not violating or harming you in any way if he touches your private areas. Girls need to be checked when they are young ; that is why the school is helping you with this method. The 1st time may be the hardest, then it gets easier for you to be exposed to a man’s eyes. Don’t be nervous.

Have they tell you guys whether the doctors are male or female?
In Singapore, If the doctors are male they are required to have a female nurse to be present for the checking.
Hopefully the doctors are females otherwise I can imagine how scared/shy the students will be.

The only check that the school does is for your spine and it only requires you to take off your shirt. It is done in the locker room and done by a women.
In a doctors office when a women sees a male doctor a female nurse must be present for an exmaination of the private area.

First of all, just because they said doctor, doesn’t mean that it won’t be a woman.
As you get older, yeah, you get checked out by male doctors. My obgyn is a guy and he is a really smart, nice guy who makes you feel comfortable.
But for young girls – You need parental permission.
    – It should be by a woman doctor.
    – if not, then a female nurse should be in the room at the same time.

Usually women wear a hospital type gown and the doctor may need to feel the stomach & internal organs. I doubt private areas are checked through a school check. Women do it al the time tho for pregnancy check, pap smears and many other procedures, so if this check is that intent, get used to it, you will have many more.

If you don’t want a male doctor to check up on you, you have rights, you should demand for a female doc to check your privates. It’s better safe than sorry, male doctors will always be male doctors.
Same thing happened to me in college, but I didn’t ask for a male doc. hahah!
Whoops, my bad! I forgot I was a boy.

they will have you wear a patient’s gown or something of that sort. the physical exam will be done in a private room. if the private area is to be examined, only that part should be exposed and they’ll provide you with a sheet to cover yourself with. if a male doctor is to do the physical exam, it is REQUIRED that a female staff is present during the procedure.
    so don’t worry, okay.

They often do that for sports activities and it’s nothing more than a formality. They will often have a group of girls together in their bra and panties and just ask questions. Or they may do it individually, but 99% chance you will not undress fully.
I’ve had a few checkups where the doctor has cupped my balls and asked me to turn my head and cough, but oddly enough, I always felt better when it was a female doctor. That’s only been twice out of about 8 times though, unfortunately.

At your age, when they said a body checkup at school it was pretty basic, height, weight, no lice, ears, nose and throat. I don’t think they can check anything else without parents present

I’ve had a lot of them. I have a disease which causes me to not grow as fast so I have to have it checked a lot. I am 13 also. Its not that hard, just relax, it is really easy.

I am pretty sure you will have to take your clothes off. Sorry.
    :(
I had a checkup, and I am 13, and I had to get naked, and he checked my private parts…very uncomfortable
    So I am guessing so.

It’s not unheard of to ask a person to strip for a physical exam, how much clothing gets removed depends on what they need to check. You won’t get left standing in your birthday suit, though. They will give you a gown and probably a drape sheet. There will be a female present at all times, you will never be alone in the exam room with a male. Even if the doctor is female, she usually has an assistant. It’s hard to listen to the chest sometimes through clothing. I can’t imagine there is a need for a gynecological exam though- I think this sounds more like the usual school physical exam scare. More than likely, you will not need to remove any clothing, but you’ll be a lot more comfy if you wear loose clothing. And while your body is pretty personal to you, trust me- medical personnel have seen it all and don’t give it a second thought. You are just another body to them, and when they step out the door after the exam, how you looked is not even memory for them. Honestly, this sounds like a scare story and not something that needs to worry you. I can’t imagine they have any reason to do gyn exams on a mass of girls your age, and won’t have the set up in a school to do it anyway. Somebody is pulling your chain here on that. Just chill and don’t get yourself all worked up about this. You won’t be lined up naked, and you won’t be alone with a male in the nude either. Relax, worry about this when the time comes and you can ask the folks doing the exams. Ignore the whisper horror stories being told around school.

No doctor in a school should be checking your private parts. Talk to your mum i would have it done go to your own doctor. If they are doing a check at the school the most they should ask you to remove is your t shirt so they can see your spine. I did this once at school but it was with a female doctor so we were comfortable get your mum to talk to the school and find out what is really going to happen.

If you’re not comfortable with it you can just say you’re not. I’ve been to check ups and they had no reason to take my clothes off. Sometimes it makes it easier but it’s not required. So if he says it is he’s lying. Unless he’s checking you for breast cancer (which you’re too young for them to do) there’s no reason for it.

First of all your parents need to consent to this procedure. Second, the doctor should not be male. Your parents have the option of having you checked by a private physician. If insurance coverage is an issue and this is your only option, the doctor should not be male.

If you go to your regular phsycisian you will more then likely have to wear a johnny, but I don’t see why at the age of 13 they would do a breast exam or a pap smear, that seems waaayy to young.

    Sure;
Just yesterday I had to go to the doc and he made me take off EVERYTHING to do a “full physical”…
He looked everywhere and tested my reflexes and boob mass tissue and pap smear and, and, and,
