I was wondering what the classes and training consisted of. I was also wondering what the environment is like in comparison to hospitals and private doctor’s offices. I don’t necessarily want to major in one thing such as oncology or pediatric but was wondering what all the different types of nursing programs are like – neurology, dialysis, pediatric, etc? I want to know everything and was wondering if any nurses out there could give me a positive outlook or boost and some more information. Thanks!

Nursing school is hard! but definitely doable! I did it! Of course it can’t be too easy b/c you are dealing with people’s lives! Once you go into the nursing school you have to go into the hospital to gain actual clinical experience. You make more money in the hospital but it can also be more chaotic (but I love it). Doctor’s office tend to be more relaxed and mildly paced. You get basic exposure to general nursing fields:Adult Health, OB, Pedi, ICU, Psych. You go in thinking that you know what you want to do but in the end you may or may not change your mind. Being a nurse is wonderful! Although it can be stressful at times, I wouldn’t want to be anything else!
