Your health care providers base their treatment on many variable factors: the information you give them about your health history and their examination of you at the time of your visit. Your information may not be complete and you may not present all of your symptoms at the the time of your visit. Also, every patient responds differently to treatment even for the most common ailments. These are among the reasons they cannot guarantee treatment.
