Of course it does! People without insurance are billed higher rates than people with insurance! How wrong is that?! Our medical system is BROKE because is run by insurance companies. The government cant/wont do anything about it because the lobbyists are have deep pockets.

98% of the people that have no health insurance do not go to the doctor unless it’s an emergency, and then some don’t go. Even when you do go when you tell them you have no money and no insurance the only treatment you get after that is the red carpet escort to the front door. Even when you have a life threatning illness, and you go to the hospital emergency room, they will stabilise you and send you away-no farther treatment..And this is legal in this country under our present health care system

YES! And I’m a recent cancer survivor, but lost my ins. when I got divorced (from my abusive husband). I also have chronic migraines and now no meds. It sucks and there’s nothing I can do about it.

No, have health insurance.
Though it does not cover much in prevention.

Lets not discuss this. Not only is it expensive and covers about….oh….roughly……NOTHING–you can usually count on the Dr office to bill it incorrectly and try to send you to collections for THEIR mistake.

I have health insurance. But my sister did not have health insurance and died of a heart attack last August. She didn’t feel she could afford to go to the doctor. She had been having some chest pain, but figured she’d had it before and lived through it so she ignored it and died in her sleep. She was 51.

I have insurance but I still don’t go to the doctor like I should. I just hate doctors and hospitals.
