OMG! I’m so sorry! Make sure it’s a girl. I don’t even think a man is ALLOWED to. I don’t think you take off your shirt. But they do feel. And they feel down there. But you don’t remove your undies..
At least that’s what my friends have said! LOL. Just wear a pad like normal…Or tampon. Whichever.
ADDITION: Your mom sounds strict! And my biggest fear is shots too! Woww! LOL

unless theres a serious problem with your health such as fear of breast cancer under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should the doctor feel your breasts do not let this happen! and unless your sexually active and havin a std/smear or whatever test UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should the doctor look or touch ur vagina! do not let this happen! u can insist on a female doctor and they have to give you one-just talk to your mother, and ur goin for a injection-no injection requires you takin all your clothes off.!!!

Sounds like BS. Why are 13 year olds going to the gyno? Unless you’re sexually active, there is no need to go at that age.
EDIT: If you aren’t going to a gyno, and just going for your regular physical- they won’t look at your boobs or private parts. It will just be the same as your last physical.

Well, there isn’t anything that we can do but to tell you to tell your mom you are not comfortable that a man is going to look at you. Try to convince her to change the doctor. It doesn’t take much to change the doctor. Hope this helps.. And good luck…

Have a mature serious talk with your mom about your fears of having a male doctor examine you. I don’t blame you for being nervous about that!
If you’re on your period, you should cancel the appt.

You can request a female doctor. If your mom is too embarrassed to ask for one, you can tell the doctor yourself before he begins. You can also tell the nurse.
Where do you live, in Canada?

To physicians you’re just anatomy. And they”ve seen all kinds. Hair is nothing new to them. Boobs are just fat.
The examination is to see if you are healthy.

above all you need to realize that this man is a doctor, and he is just there to make sure you are healthy. if you really can’t get your doctor changed, then just remember, he is a doctor. he is a professional. and most of all, he has seen it all. looking at private parts probably don’t even phase doctors after a while!
you can ask your parents to leave the room too. i know my mom doesn’t stay in the room when i have physicals. i would not like my mom in the room if the doctors examining my areas ha.
and if you are on your period, tell the doctor. they probably won’t look then. instead, they could just check everything else, and you could schedule an appointment for next week or something and ask for a female doctor that time! also, if you think of any questions between now and then (or if there are just questions you would rather as a female doctor) you could ask then.
    hope this helps.

I am guessing this is a gyneacological exam that you are getting? If not, then he will not be venturing to your genitalia. If so, he’s probably seen hundreds of patients who have had nerves much like yourself. Gynaecologists aim to have exams over with in about 15 minutes, you’re young, so chances are you won’t be getting a pap or anything like that. You’ll be fine. You aren’t the only one who will have gone to a doctor’s appointment with ungroomed pubic hair and on your period. He’s a professional. Your parents stand behind a curtain if they are in the room with you and so they can’t see anything.
If it’s not a gyno, then he won’t be examining your vagina. The closest he’ll get is perhaps checking the pulse near your pubic bone (you have underwear on while he does this), the closest he gets to your boobs is to check your breathing…You have nothing to worry about.
