Doctor Looked At My Private Parts?

I’m a 15 year old girl and I still go to the pediatrician.
Well yesterday I went for a physical exam and the doctor did a weird thing.
Usually, she would ask me to pull down my pants and just have a quick look down there with out me getting on the bed but this time, she gave me a gown [which she never does, i've been going to her for 6 years] and she made me lay on my back, pull my feet up to my chest and she put a finger in my private part. I felt really embarassed in that position and I had no idea she would be doing this. Is this normal? She’s a really nice doctor and I trust her but this is the first time she did this!

    there should be no reason why she should do that if it was just a check up

    Pediatricians usually don’t do that. Unless she thought she was like a gynecologist or something, you might want to tell someone. And with a physical you also wouldn’t need a gown, so something is definitely not right.

    did you talk to your mom about this? was your mom in the room? if not she should know. if this isnt something the doctor usually does than you have a right to feel uncomfortable. tell your mom you want to switch doctors

    it may just be general check up of ur private…..as its a female there wont be anything intention……..even its done intentionally .if u are not responding to those activities then its always fine…. nothing to worry

    if your worried you should tell you mother
