It is all a mind set. What Obama proposes will never work because it is not the system that is bad it is the people and you cannot change bad habits. People will still go to the ER even with a small flu it is just the way it is. Society has done such a good job at threatening people with all kind of diseases and how crucial it is to act and react right away that people are scared of a single flu or cold.
When i have one i stay home, drink hot chicken soup, get me some cough drops or syrup and rest … which is exactly what the doctor would prescribe and what our parents and grand parents did … no one ever died. but today? no everything is an emergency even a scratch.
it is part of a brain washing process led by the media on behalf of the drug companies. We as a society are and have been conditioned to react a certain way to certain things. be it being sick or buying just bread at the store and ending up with 100 bucks worth of groceries … we are a conditioned society pushed to consumption and spending.

    Pascha,
First. I do not support any governmental involvement in medical care. The government and medicine should be thought of of children with matches in a fireworks store. Stupid, Dangerous, and not helpful to anyone.
Why are routine items covered by “insurance”? Because we do not have insurance — we have 3rd party pays. Insurance is to share risk. We do not share risk — we do not charge the overweight overeating smoker more for health care then the college jock — in fact the health subsidized the silly lifestyles of the slothful, hedondistic, or drug prone.
Government should have no access to your medical data EVER.

Of course. Preventative care is MUCH more effective and efficient that treating progressed disease.
“Why do simple medical services like that need to be covered by insurance?” This stuff isn’t free. If you’re going to insure people for screenings and preventative measures… why not simply offer a full insurance option?

Obama’s primary care consists of no diagnostic tests, no antibiotics, no medical care for the terminally ill or the elderly. Be sure your burial plans are in order.

I dont agree with any part of Obama care.
Why should the government provide incentive for any of this stuff? Its none of their business in the first place.

Why doesn’t the government stay out of private business.

Where does the money to keep these clinics open come from if the people can not pay. Will the doctors and staff work for free. No but the idea is good.

The longer a treatment goes, the more it costs, so YES.
