I am asking because it seems like many Americans work at jobs they hate just so they have medical benefits. I’m wondering if one can be more experimental with finding a dream job if there are no worries about medical care…
Additionally- some small business owners cannot afford the legal requirement to offer benefits for their employees, and are forced to shut down. Does that happen in Canada?

Any money saved on medical expenses (or anything else for that matter) allows one more freedom because of increased cash.

They can’t compete because they are not very good business’.
Health Care has nothing to do with it.
