Can I Get Medical Insurance As An American In Ontario Canada?

I will be living with my Fiance in Toronto by Christmas i am American he is Canadian. I need to get medical insurance as soon as possible, but since we are not married should i get insurance here in America and would that cover me in another country(Canada)or would there be better plans in Canada for me to sign up for???

    You could purchase Visitor to Canada Health plan available through insurance companies. Or you could purchase travel insurance in America also.
    Email me your age, any preexisting condition and smoking or non I will find out the rate for you. How long do you plan to stay in Toronto.
