i know that potential employers can request your medical records but can the also ask for the records from your insurance company.

I am under the impression they CANNOT request your medical records. Not from you, and not from the insurance company.

I’ve been working for 27 yrs – never had any company ask anything medically – I don’t think they are allowed to – privacy laws, discrimination laws, etc
